Cheap designer fakes on eBay.
I first visited Ebay five years ago, looking for an Hermes scarf as a gift. Two hours of looking at listings soon left me confused. There seemed to be a lot of items for sale that did not look right, even to my untrained eye. Five years on and far too much time spent on the Internet leave me fairly confident at spotting Hermes fakes. I hope to be able to pass on some of this information to other innocent Ebay users, to help them avoid paying top designer prices for cheap imitation goods. A Gremlin seems to have removed about half of the photos in my Hermes guides. Ebay says that the only way to get them back is to re-load them....grrrrr. This is going to take me some time. Please be patient. G.

Geoff, I've tried looking through a number of your Hermes guides, but none of the ones I've seen have photos that will load (all I get are red x's in boxes). Is there something wrong with the guides, or something wrong with my computer settings? If the latter has been a problem with other prospective viewers, do you know how they have fixed the problem in the past? I'd appreciate any input you could give me. I'm very interested in reading the guides with the visual aids. Thank you!
